Established in March of 1961 Citizens State Bank was originally located at 308 9th Street. We moved into our current location at 808 3rd Avenue in October of 1979. In Septemebr of 2001, Citizens acquired the Farmers Savings Bank of Boyden and is pleased to now serve our customers at both full service locations as Citizens State Bank of Sheldon and Boyden. Citizens State Bank offers a wide range of financial products and services to fit consumer, agricultural and commercial needs and believes in offering all of those services all of the time. Our full service hours are just that - full service!

At Citizens State Bank we are proud to be a REAL COMMUNITY BANK. We've earned this distinction by being Sheldon's only locally owned and managed financial institution, and by the fact that we are local people making local decisions with an exclusive commitment to our community. Our branch in Boyden has that same local tradition.

At Citizens State Bank we believe banking is a people business first. That's what has helped us to stand apart over the past 51 years. Our entire staff is committed to providing you with the best possible banking services and technologies. We want to help you make the most of every financial opportunity.

No matter which banking services you need, from a simple checking account, to financing a new home or car, we're here for you. We're ready to help you open or add to an IRA or other approved personal or business retirement plans. We're ready to help your business by providing commercial banking services, from commercial lines of credit to lock box services or qualified business retirement plans.

For all of these reasons and more, we're one of America's Real Community Banks.
That's the way we do business.

American agriculture has grown to become the largest, most efficient and productive food system in the world, but it remains a business of people.

It is at this personal level, on the farms and ranches of rural America and in the plants and facilities of agribusinesses, where Farm Credit Services of America works to finance each success.

So every day, in everything we do, we work to become agriculture’s most valued financial partner.

We are a mission-driven financial cooperative, uniquely positioned to serve farmers, ranchers and rural Americans with a powerful business model that includes a patronage program.

We are members of the Farm Credit System. The Farm Credit System's mission is to provide sound and dependable credit to American farmers, ranchers, producers or harvesters of aquatic products, their cooperatives, and limited types of farm-related businesses.
